@ kevout, if you're able to boot into safemode, type msconfig in the search box. Click the icon, then click on the 'start' tab and uncheck SuperAntiSpyware. Reboot, then uninstall it.

Hi Jacee,

I just downloaded it and installed it, then used Compatibility Mode and checked "Run this program as an administrator". Works a treat for 64-bit.

It didn't here in x86. It installed OK in Admin mode but when I tried to start it, got as far as choose English and went straight into BSOD. I didn't write down the code but I remember seeing "IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equal_To ...blah blah.

I just installed it in a 32-bit Windows 7 (7137 build) virtual machine, and it worked just fine in it as well. The only thing I had to do was use Compatibilty Mode for "Run as Admin." with the program's shortcut after installation.

After installing it, I used the "Run as admin" through Compatibilty Mode. Did not need to do anything just to install it though.

Well, after 2 more BSOD's and Windows telling me that if I try it again I can take my choice of punishment from a) being zapped by a lethal dose of tetraion emissions, b) swallowed by a space anomaly and c) assimilated by the Borg.

So have given up.

I have a paid premium account for all three of my machines, so when I found that SAS wouldn't work with Win7, I emailed support. I was told that when Win7 was finalized and ready for public sale, then it would release an updated, compatible program.

SuperAntiSpyware free edition v4.24.1004 installed and runs perfectly on my win 7 x64 installation. It updates and runs a scan correctly.

Looks like they are preparing thier product for the final win 7 release, until then it may not work on RCs and betas. I tried it on my 7100 build... BSOD!

Tested it on build 7232 x64. Ran in Vista SP2 compatibility mode an as administrator, no BSOD's. Although, it doesn't start when Windows starts like it should. With the default settings of start when Windows starts and the entry being in the Startup lists. Other than that, I see no other problems.

You don't really even need it to start up when Windows does if you have the free version anyways. You don't have Real Time Protection so there's no point to have it automatically start up really.The free is just a manual scanner.

No, just normal install. I unblocked the download before I installed it though, as I do with anything I install.

I don't receive any BSOD. I upgraded straight from Vista to 7 with SAS already installed.
