Had to look this one up just to see what it was; must be what late 90's early 00's. Not sure if there is any thing left out there for this device. Hope it works for you though would have to say that is an awful big PDA to be carry around in today's world of small PDAs and phones. :p

hi !

HP-620LX is from 1997.

"big" ?
well, it´s big enough to to be of any use...

today´s PDA´s are too small, i have an old Nokia 9000, also called "Communicator", on which believe it or not, it´s actually no problem writing emails or other texts.
but smaller than that, no thanks.

i know because i tried the successor, the Nokia 9110, which was almost impossible to use, because it was too small.

i also recently had a look at the latest the N97, the "keyboard" is even smaller...

i´ve had some plans for a mini-pc (EEE 901-type), but found the HP-620, which has everything i need at the moment.
it has a web-browser, (i was just looking for any alternatives) an email-client, calendar etc.

it´s also smaller and half the weight of a mini-pc, and a lot cheaper (1/7 of a mini-pc)...

hi !

"Not sure if there is any thing left out there for this device"

oh, yes there is.
actually there are new interesting software coming (ported).
today i found a very nice website with a forum, HPC:Factor - The Handheld PC the way it was meant to be! - HPC Factor, lots of info there.

and a few days ago, before i even had bought it, i found out that i can run a linux-distro on it !
jlime.com/mw4/index.php/Main_Page.
that was one VERY good reason for me to buy it...
i only paid about 70 USD (incl. shipping), so i think i made a good deal.

it´s no real problem if there´s no other browsers available under CE,
i only wanted to test it, before i install Linux.
