webcam not working

hey guys am using hp pavilion dv6700 notebook pc and i have upgraded the os to windows 7 ultimate 32-bit(6.1,build 7600) from vista and the problem is my WEBCAM is not working properly :cry: (it was working well in vista) . It is sometime working as soon as the restart and sometime not working dono what is the exact problem . am confused :( . skype saying "cant start video renderer.check youve got a valid directX installation " but i installed the latest directx for from the nvidia ma graphics card is nvidia "Getforce 7150M/nforce 630M " and i hav tried the cyberlink you cam (it worked for a day after that it didnt work ) and also i ried many cam both didnt work :( please someone gimme a solution . thanks :)

sorry for 2 post :p . yes i reinstalled many times that cyberlink you cam and upgraded the nvidia also . still not working . should i need of any other drivers??

Go to device manager and see if the web cam is in their. If so right click on it>properties>details tab>drop down menu> Copy and Paste the hardware id string. And we can look for a driver for it that way.

If it is in device manager and doesn't have a yellow exclamation point on it, then the driver is installed and it could be a software problem or a bad cam.Since it seems to work on and off.


Since it worked in Vista try using the Vista driver
