Webcam Problems

Help! The webcam is dimming after a few seconds after I open the webcam. I tried to click on the low light compensation option in windows messenger live settings, but it won't let me. Is this where it will be fixed or is this dimming thing a setting somewhere else?

What webcam are you using? Have you tried using the settings for the webcam?
