My webcam`s software is too old and I cant find its udgrade version on their website(driver is working fine in windows 7). So I need a new software.

Do you guys know any software(preferably free) that captures still images as well as videos with good looking UI:p and some advanced tools??

I'm also looking for one. I need one that does a video window on my desktop with the content from MY webcam. So that I see what my webcam is filming! Is this possible?
(Must be on the desktop, can be via Adobe Air or Windows Gadgets, but not via browser!)
I tried a lot of software, none did it! :(

@zigzag3143: ?...I do have a"Hercules Dualpix HD", which I just bought two days ago, only to see that they advertise several new models on their website since today! *doh* But shouldn't be the webcam model somewhat irrelevant? What I need is a proper software! Because although their software is great, the problem is simply that I can't get it to stick to the foreground in Windows!

Or is there an option to implement this for any application window?

@zigzag3143: Yes.

@techs: Thanks, yet it doesn't work (on x64). But I found "Windows/VistaCam Self Shot!", yet I don't get the stuff into the foreground yet. I'll look further.

*edit* SOLVED: Ok, of course the Windows Gadgets can be brought on top, though I had a hard time finding it! You have to really click on the lower border to get the proper context menu!

I'm using two different MS webcams.. VX-2000 and -5500, both running under W7 ver7100 using MS Live Desktop app (not browser) runs pretty quick, I had Logitech QuickCams before but they had major compatibility probelms under both Vista and W7, so I went the MS route.. Hope that helps
