i cant go on the website Google this message come up from firefox and it veries on different web browsers (ive tried all):

Are you behind any software/hardware firewall?

Are you behind any proxy?

To check your host file, navigate to windows/system32/drivers/etc

there should be no other entries other than 127.0.0.1 localhost

there you go..when you try google.com, windows redirects the website to 127.0.0.1. this is your machine's IP address.

I do not know about others like runescape etc. if it was added by you, you can leave it. If not, replace your details with mine. Save it, if windows doesnt allow you to save, save to your documents and then copy past it to the orig location.

Once done, you are good to go.

As a aftermath, run a virus scan using MSSE and a malware scan using malwarebytes. This will remove virus or trojans if any. Your computer will be super safe. :)

The website's mentioned in your hosts file doesnt work unless and until you replace your contents with either mine or WindowsStar's
