could not measure storage performance This drive may be allocated across more than one physical disk Before rerunning the disk assesment , check that your drive is not in a software RAID configuration and is allocated on only one physical drive.

Could someone please explain this message a little more clearly. Is it not possible to measure performance with raid 1?

running 2 Seagate 750 gb drives mirrored via Windows software.
Thanks

Win 7 (I believe) has no way of measuring it. Have you googled it, or asked Microsoft for a definitive answer?

I have googled but not found anything of value. I noticed other people in this forum talking about their raid configurations and WEI score, was not sure how to proceed with refreshing my score or if it was even necessary.

There is a big difference between software RAID and a hardware RAID setup. Those talking about their RAID WEI score are probably using a hardware RAID setup. There will be a big difference in performance as well. I would think a software RAID setup will pale in comparison to a hardware RAID setup.
