Hi
I am running Windows 7 7600.16385.090713-1255_x64

I have a Creative X-FI X-Treme Music soundcard with Creatives beta Windows 7 driver installed.

The problem just started today. I am listening to music and after a while the audio went strange. It seemed to fade and I could not hear the voices in it only the guitar and drums which also went quiter a bit.

Does anyone know how I can resolve this?

Thanks

Hi
It turned out that the speakers were not connected properly. They just needed pushed in further and it worked fine.

I'm running 32 bit Win 7.

It's a really weird problem. I've got sound fading in and fading out on some files. Some Youtube videos just pay a really quiet bassline.

The thing is windows sounds play fine over the top of this so it can't be a speaker problem.

I've got a Creative X-Fi Xtreme card.

Guess I'll just try another driver.

OK I worked it out

Apparently the Creative Control panel works out what speakers you're using. It incorrectly guessed I was using 7.1 speakers.

I changed it to headphone settings and it worked a charm
