Hi guys I recently have this very annoying problem whcih I had a few times before but it always just disappear after awhile.

This problem is that my mouse would automatically double click with the windows double click sound, it does it randomly whether I am on desktop or playing a game.

When this happens the cursor also changes to an hourglass for like a split second while the double clicking sounds plays.

Also I am not using a laptop or trackpad I am using a desktop with a wired mouse. Hope you guys can solve this problem PS: I have also run two different full scans usign two programs with no luck.

I can but it is evident that it's a software problem, like I said when this happens the double clicking sound will play togetehr with hourglass animation no matter where my mosue is, but if I double click anywhere it will not have the double clicking sound or the animation of the hour glass. This only happens randomly and regardless of where your mosue is this weird bug will happen.

It is not that evident to me that it is definitely a software problem so does it not make sense to eliminate the mouse as the culprit? It will only take a few seconds!

I would but my other mouse has it's own problem and sometimes cannot be detected but that problem was caused my dropping it. I also need to add that this problem has been happening over the years while using different mouse. It comes and goes but I have not seen this problem for a long time until now.

However if it was some sort of physical defect of my mouse then it should just double click without the animation and the clicking sound, like I've said I have tried to replicate this problem by double clicking on the desktop and in-game but it would not do anything unless there is a program or folder that I am double clicking on, in which case it would just play the sound and do the animation. However this symptom happens randomly regardless where my mouse is. e.g if I pan around the desktop and the bug happens which means the sound plays and the animation begins then if I don't move my mouse and actually double click my mouse at the exact same spot where the bug happened. It will not play the sound or the animation.

Then can you not borrow a mouse just to try? What plug does the mouse use PS/2 or USB?
