Weird Desktop

Yesterday i had installed alcohol 52% free edition on my windows 7 ultimate PC,then suddenly a problem appeared; all the desktop icons were gone.Desktop's empty.Still i could right click>view>check show desktop icons,then the icons were visible.But its very annoying bcoz i have to repeat the same procedure always at every bootings.When the pc is restarted,the desktop goes empty again.Why is it happening? Is there any cure? Pls help me.

Hello Brainiacary,

After you have checked the "Show Desktop Icons" option, save your current theme to see if that may help.

Another possiblity is Alcohol broke something in 7 - I'd uninstall it and use system restore to go back before it was installed.

there seems to be an incompatibility between Virtual drive managers/CD burners and Windows 7. i've seen a few instances of the same symptoms.

I had the same problem when i installed Infra Recorder and it was solved when i uninstalled it.
