Solved weird grinding sound coming out of speakers when scrolling on firefox?

That is usually a setting in System Sounds. The panel for System Sounds can be found in the Control Panel/Hardware and Sound.

Hm. Over the years I've had three motherboards that made noise in the speakers when scrolling Firefox.
The noise always went away when I installed a sound card and disabled onboard sound.

There are a lot of electrical noises that affects the analog sound output of the on-board audio. That's why I use a USB soundcard to feed digital signals (they don't carry electrial noises unlike analog since they're just 0 and 1) via USB to an external digital to analog converter which then feed the analog signal to speakers or headphone. Some audio quality obsessed people go as far as spending lots of money for a "USB decraptifier" such as this: Schiit Audio, Headphone amps and DACs made in USA. in order to ensure that there's no audio glitches due to varying USB power.

for me it is just control panel /sound
i did try tweaking the options in there but did not find a solution
