select times roman in WORD instead of arial. or another strange font. Makes that a difference?

I'm not sure you interpreted Kaktussoft's restore point suggestion correctly, he didn't mean to start making more frequent or more volume of restore points from this point forward, but rather a method to show all the restore points on your computer, not just the most recent 5 or so.

Addition: Both keys (left and right squre bracket) type two characters!

For some odd reason, I don't have restore points beyond 6 days ago...

There's a button called something like "show more restore points" did you click that as well?

How are "system points" configured in system properties? Check it's used size and max size. Almost full? To small?

Yes I did understand it. I was also saying that I'll adjust it so restore points are made the appropriate way but for my situation that won't change the past non existent restore points.
