I looked at other forums but I guess I keep running into really weird problems. So here's the deal, I've been using a logitech mouse for 2 years. I decided to get a mouse with a higher dpi, so I got a wireless HP mouse same model as this Amazon.com: HP 2.4GHz Wireless Optical Mobile Mouse - Midnight Blue: Electronics installed the drivers from the CD and setup the mouse... after that every now and then the mouse will start skipping, become extremely slow, or become unresponsive at times. I've tried re-installing the mouse drivers but that didn't help, the problem would come back. So I'm back to using my logitech, after returning to it I have no problems at all.

Since the device is wireless and each one uses a different frequency it makes sense that one might conflict with something else wireless in the house (ie a garage door opener, wireless printer, microwave, coffee pot, etc)

I don't think that is the problem, microwaves are a long ways away, the mouse works just fine on other laptops too
