I logged off of my account and I saw this "Other User" which I have never seen before. And nobody else operates this computer. I tried scanning with different Malawarebytes Antimalware Pro and Bitdefender Total Security 2018, but both said the computer was squeaky clean. I've been rolling without an antivirus since 2009 and only using common sense to protect myself and it's been working OK so far, but I thought I may have let something slip... apparently that wasn't the case.

I also noticed this when I attempted to Sync Firefox

where after a brief research, I discovered has something to do with group policies and stuff. (my account has admin privileges)

Is my computer infected or something with group policies/registry has been messed up. Also creating a new account with admin privileges doesn't seem to change this for the better.

My best solution would be to just reinstall and format C:\, but that's too much work and I don't feel like wasting 2-3 hours setting everything up again. So I would appreciate if someone can offer a simpler solution.

I would naturally just reinstall Windows by formatting C:\ and keeping my important stuff on D:\ intact, but unfortunately at the moment I can't reinstall so I'm hoping you would have some solution for this that does not evolve reinstalling.

.Net can and will create another account. It could have also been a Windows update that messed something up.

This is an admin account I've had for a while. It has no password as it is a personal home computer used by one person.

I usually rarely install updates, I just checked my Update History, the latest update was installed on October 16 2018. I have never experienced such a thing before and I've been using Windows 7 since 2009. I don't understand what do you mean by ".net can and will create another account".
