Weird Sharing issue

been sharing my media files with my android tv box for couple years now on same install of windows without issue, but last couple days (with no system changes or installs) my shared files are not working correctly, (seems same for all devices).

If it is streaming based apps work fine, but going through the network files route either displays empty shared file or asks for password,

anybody else had a similar issue

Hello,

A Power Cycle of your modem/router, restart all affected devices as well might help and it would hurt to do this.

tries power resetting everything straight away, can now see the files on the laptop (files save onto normal pc hardwired to router) but on my android device the files are only visible thought avia which is a kinda streaming app but not though the network browser on the android device, the files are empty, and through downloaded file browsers it asks for passords and logins

I'm going to take a guess regarding your statement here, sortof unclear to me.....Now, the issue is only on the Android devices using browsers, but when you use the App called aVia you are able to access the files, is this correct? So why not continue using the App instead of the browsers?
