weird slowdown and problem after modern w 2

Hi,Was playing mod 2 online when it host migrated,,then the game went slow like real slow and then fast it wasnt lag as when i quit to desktop my windows start menu went grey like it reverted to safe mode and my mouse pointer stutted around the desktop,
Was very weird i thought my pc was going to die,
upon restart it was ok and i had to choose my theme gain for desktop
This was very weird and looking for any answers as to what it could have been.
Was wondering did my pc over heat or gpu give up?confused

Go to start, type event viewer. Look for errors about the time that you had the problem.

I have had some problems when playing MW2 when I get the host migrating message....MW2 hangs or slows down or crashes steam but it hasn't happened very often and a reboot fixed the problem....I just chalk it up as one of the "improvements in the online gaming experience" that IW tells the pc community that IWnet provides :sarc:

Ya has happenned only once to me,,i think it was a network hang or someone trying to get in my pc thru the p2p mod 2 uses ,it never crashed tho `Just turn my windows tab grey .
Which was strange ,but restart fixed it and its been fine ever since,,
Peer 2 peer setups for online gaming worry me as it could be used as a back door for a nasty soul.
