Hello!

First of all, id like to say that this must be the most informative all-around forum ive seen concerning MS related products.

Ive encountered a problem with my win7 x64 system.
When i try to connect and access either wi-fi or LAN, the system continues like normal showing the connection icon in the notification bar.
Everything looks fine in the Network and sharing center, saying that i have Internet Access and that i am connected to my access point.
However when i try to open any program like internet explorer, i get the error of "Page cannot be shown" for every site that i try to visit.

This problem started after uninstalling the F-secure suite with Revo uninstaller(that cleaned old regedit entries).

I tried to:
ipconfig release and renew..
netsh reload..
pinging (which works)
resetting the windows firewall(after removing f-secure firewall)
deleting the remaining F-secure services

The logbook reads:
Critical Event-ID 404 TaskScheduler
Fault Event-ID 1002 Dhcp-Client(binged it, but no fix)
Fault Event-ID 7026 Service Control Manager
" " " 24 "
" " " 23 "
" " " 01 "

Any thoughts?

Have you checked with your ISP to make sure their DNS servers are functioning correctly?

You can also try alternate DNS server entries... check www.grc.com for their DNS Bench app, it will suggest the fastest DNS entries for you.

Thanks for the reply and tool Darryl Licht!

The problem was client-sided, i installed the same software again, and it started working(the problem was that the revo uninstall had removed necessary register entries)

Edit:

Tip: Be on your watch when uninstalling security suits ;)
