When I launch/switch to Team Fortress 2, Windows 7 opens Mozilla Firefox with the page google.com/reader.

WTF?

Yeah, I was going to say that it might be screwed up.

Check the properties to see if it is set to open FF as well. Or delete and make a new one.
You could also reinstall it.
