what is D-day carl? I would like to know

D Day was 6th June 1944. It's when the invasion of mainland Europe started with landings at Dunkirk! Just Google it for loads of history! Let's not dwell on wars though, life is far too short! the sun is shining, birds are singing and all the girls look georgous

It is also called the Normandy invasion.

Good one Ted. But here's a puzzler for you. I normally browse with the 64-bit version of IE8, so have to use the 32-bit version of IE8 if I want to view or listen to anything that requires a plugin or Flash. I had a quick look to see what the video was, and then I closed the 32-bit browser (I had the 64-bit one open all the time). Normally, when I do this, the video and sound stop. This time, the sound remained.

Edit: I tried again, but this time it went off when I closed the browser.

That's what it's supposed to do, Ted. But I had closed the 32-bit browser and yet the sound remained. It even showed up in the volume controls as being from IE. I agree that it is a bit of a puzzler and, like you, I wish that Adobe would get their act together and release a 64-bit version of Flash.
