Hi all, I'm John.

I come from the far north of Scotland, not too distant from John O'Groats. I make a living from farming and tourism, and I have a great passion for photography.

On the computer front, my first computer was a 486DX2 and I ran it on windows 3.1. Ive used Linux and IBM OS2 over the years. The last Machine was running Windows XP, and I have skipped Vista and wound up with may latest machine running win 7.

I'm probably like most folk, looking for a support forum with friendly knowledgable people, and maybe a place to have a chat about anything. I have to say that coming from a beatifully stable but slow XP computer to what I have now, a fast yet to my eyes a very unstable machine on win 7, is hell of a shock to the system. Anyway, enough of the depressing stuff, maybe spending time here will lift the viel of mystery called Windows 7!!
