I'm an old guy who's coming somewhat late to the game as far as IT goes, having been a graphic artist for a number of years prior to making the switch. I don't even think I'mworthy of the "IT Guy" title yet... I'm more of a "Tech Support Guy". Anyway, I've been using Windows 7 for a while, and as it's gaining more adoption thorughout our company and clients I find myself with more and more questions, but hopefully I'll be able to assist with as many as I fire off! Glad to be here!

Hello, everyone.

As my handle may suggest, last weekend I went through the process of upgrading my former XP 64-bit box to Win 7 Pro 64-bit.

Which way to the forum handling ways and means of subverting Win 7 defaults?

Starting with getting back to an Administrator account with any real power to do anything?

Hello infuriated, welcome to Seven Forums; this is Windows 7 it is not XPired, you can do anything you need in the default admin account, UAC is not asking if you know what you are doing, it's asking if you know what the PC is doing, leave it at default and it will do what it was designed to do.
