Since I'm already in the process of having a problem dealt with in the forum, it might be time to introduce myself.
The first computer I used was a DEC-10 in 1974. The first computer I owned was an Osborne-1 (64K memory and two 183K 5.25" drives and a 300 baud modem). From 1980-1990, I was a CP/M based person.
The last computer I purchased was a 386 SX-16 in 1990. Everything since then has been home made. (Still wish I had my old 486 DX-100 to play games on).
I also have on floppy or CD all the operating systems Microsoft made from the first public offering of DOS until Windows 7 (not including the server based OSs).
I primarily use my computer for research, study and music recording.
This forum has been far more informative and reliable than Microsoft itself.
