I'm new too! I was looking for shell32 stuff to replicate the keyboard shortcuts that disappears when you close explorer.exe (yeah try win+r and you'll get the you shall not pass sound). As a lurker I've learned how to use VBS a little (thank you Kari!), which at the same time let me see how to use shell32 methods (thank you again Kari, all in one post you rock).

So, this is a bit more than a Windows 7 forum for me. Although I do have several 7 laptops hanging around.

Thanks for feeding my vanity ;), welcome to the Seven Forums.

Hi Guys & Guyesses.
My real name is Stephen but you can call me 5tevie. I came to the board 'cos I was having problems with a new install of Windows 7 Pro SP1 which was killing me with pop-ups. That problem has now beem solved thanks to some excellent advice.
I'm 64, married to Aggie and we have 3 boys, all married and living their own dreams. One close by. One in the New Forest and one in Thailand. They all have decent jobs and a spare bedroom if a holiday is needed. I have 3 hobbies. TV, computing and hitting paper targets with pellets fired from my Feinwerkbau S300 target rifle.
My working life began in the Royal Navy as a helicopter mechanic followed by a long term in the Parachute Regiment followed by several years roaming the world while serving in the Merchant Navy. My travelling days are mostly over now. Mostly but not completely.
Life is good.
Cheers all,
Steve.

Hello Everyone!! I've actually been reading & watching this Win 7 forum for a long time now. But now I'm in need for some help. I know that this is more than likely already on here somewhere, but being new here, I am unable to locate the proper section. I need to know exactly how to setup my SSD as strictly a boot drive for my OS, & use my 1TB WD Black HHD strictly for Storage. And moving the typical user files, libraries, and Programs to my larger HHD. But ignorant me cannot seem to locate on just how to do this CORRECTLY!! Can or will someone help me if its in the forum & location, or advise me on how to accomplish this in the correct way. I've seen a few different ways to do this. But I trust you guys here more so than some YouTube video, if you catch my drift!! Any & all help is greatly appreciated very much. As I only want to do this one time & be done with the issue for a change!! Thanks again for all your help and knowledge on this subject!! AWMEANS
