Hi everyone. well a little slow on the uptake for posting my intro...but holy shi..............poo poo (...almost...... but didn't type it ),so much information and so many tutorials that I had to jump right in and forgot about introducing myself.
Now I am:
Name is Angela (Angel)...I am a Graphic Artist and Designer ((self taught (going on 7 years....... not age... I know a few of you were going to make a remark about that...so heads up....I do catch on fairly quick. ) )I use CS6 in every Adobe Applications...DW,MUSE,PS, AI,ID, ED,FW,Acro X Pro etc ...well you get the idea and love my PSE 9,which I have lined up to redo in CS6.
Biker girl from the late 70's.Rode with The Angels( and still do once in awhile),Sentinals,Chosen Few and love the Iron Elite .
Married and have grown children,4 girls(33yrs old... down to the youngest bieng 20yrs old).Yes I started young( there goes my 1 up again. )
Anyways ,calmed down alot now and riding on the WWW and playing with pretty colors and learning alot.
Hell........ what better way to make a living then sitting in bed or at a desk in jammies and enjoying creating things for others as well as myself.
I am so glad I found this site. I do know quite alot about the ins and outs of comps...but those pesky old files and destop issues just make me want to scream. I am looking forward to posting any help that I can give, as well as getting to be more familiar with W7 and beyond.
Thats it for now.....you want to know anything else about me,just ask......I will answer appropriatly but honestly as well. Boisterous and self esteem is huge.
So you either like me or hate me. Say it like it is,thats the way i do it.
Drama...I have enough so don't give me yours.
So,how do you like me so far?
Oh by the way......whoever created this site and takes the time to keep it up to date and moderators and all staff and other members that help.......HUGE KUDO'S and many thanks to all of you from me!

Noswaith dda! Good evening from Wales!

At my age (71) I don't like change - but have just been persuaded to switch to Win Ultimate from XP (I actually go right back through Win98, 95, 3.1 and DOS 5- thankfully skipped Me and Vista). It's a learning curve again - things that were second nature in XP are no longer so!

First issue is to get my Canon Pixma iP4500 to work - I'm sure I'll get some good advice here and, in time, I hope to contribute too!

Hi, I have just purchased a Lenovo laptop with Windows 7 following meltdown of motherboard in previously reliable XP desktop. All good so far apart from accessing files from old computer hard disc. I find the forums quite daunting and am not sure where I may find advice on my problem. I'll put it here and maybe someone could advise me which thread I should have posted it in (or which has the answer already).

The old hard disc was partitioned. I've got it in an external enclosure and can only access one partition (originally D); one that I was using as archive. The partition I was using for "active" files (originally C) doesn't appear in Windows Explorer. Can anyone advise on how I can find these files?
