I am guessing you did not read: http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/8-forum-rules-info-please-read.html since you continue to violate rule 2). Please read those rules carefully. I would also recommend watching Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and paying attention to the argument between Yoda and Obi-Wan about Luke learning patience...

Check first if this is a software problem by following the steps to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...ation-conflicts-performing-clean-startup.html first. This would be the simplest fix if it works.

That may indicate a temperature disparity in your components. Let's try re-installing graphics drivers since that was also mentioned in the link you gave. PhysX does not apply to you since you have an AMD graphics card and not an NVIDIA graphics card.

  1. Download the Original ATI Graphics Driver (I would say latest, but I do not know which graphics card you have since you did not tell us)
  2. Click Start Menu
  3. Click Control Panel
  4. Click Uninstall a program
  5. For AMD:
    • Uninstall AMD Catalyst Install Manager if it is listed (this should remove all AMD graphics software and drivers)
    • If AMD Catalyst Install Manager is not listed, use the following method to uninstall the graphics drivers:
      1. Download the latest drivers for your display card(s)
      2. Click Start Menu
      3. Right Click My Computer/Computer
      4. Click Manage
      5. Click Device Manager from the list on the left
      6. Expand Display adapters
      7. Do the following for each adapter (in case you have multiple display cards)
        • Right click the adapter
        • Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
        • Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
      8. Restart your computer after uninstalling drivers for all display cards
      9. Install the latest driver for the display cards once Windows starts

      Alternatively:
      1. Login as an adminstrative user
      2. Download the Original ATI Graphics Driver (I would say latest, but I do not know which graphics card you have since you did not tell us)
      3. Click Start Menu
      4. Click Control Panel
      5. Click Hardware and Sound
      6. Click Device Manager (the last link under Devices and Printers)
      7. Expand Display adapters
  6. Restart your computer after uninstalling drivers for all display cards
  7. Install the Original ATI Graphics Driver (I would say latest, but I do not know which graphics card you have since you did not tell us) when Windows starts.

Thank you for updating your specs and providing us with more information. :)

You can download the latest driver from: AMD Catalyst™ Display Driver Before installing the latest, make sure all AMD graphics related software is uninstalled through Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Uninstall a program. This includes AMD Catalyst Control Center and AMD Catalyst Install Manager. Uninstalling the Install Manager software should remove all AMD software and drivers from the system, but double check in Uninstall a program that Catalyst Control Center is indeed removed after removing Install Manager.

If you have already done the above and still experience freezing, check for file corruption.

Not sure what you mean... Does it look like the cause of your crashes? It is an important Windows file, so Windows may not be working properly...

Hard disk check looks clean.

Also should the SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker be C:\Users\Augeson? or C:\System 32 or something?

The command prompt for SFC /SCANNOW should start with C:\Windows\System32. If you are seeing differently, then you are not running in an http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/783-elevated-command-prompt.html and should follow the instructions more carefully to start the elevated command prompt.

I also start the elevated command promt correctly now so, I'll scan that 3 or 4 more times and keep you posted?(First scan came up with Nada/Second one nothing)

Good work trying to find the culprit. That indeed could be it. We will have to see what SFC turns up about it.

Also, make sure to restart in between sfc runs. It often requires a restart to accomplish the repairs it tries to make.
