so i had my window open and my laptop got soaked (it was open so water got inside the keyboard).

the laptop was turned off and i had already unplugged it. so when i came home i just took out the battery so that it doesnt short out.

ive had it under the sun for 2 days to hopefully get the water out.

my question is: is the laptop dead? anything i can do to save it?

It may be OK, it depends on the extent of the damage.

The chances are it will work but run into problems when asked to do anything taxing.

It may alos be prone to BSoDs or random hardware failures.

If in doubt contact the manufacturer and see if your warranty covers it.

There is however still a chance, albeit slim, that it ill be no worse for ware.

As more precaution against hidden moisture that might still be inside the case, you can get a bin big enough to fit the laptop, a small plastic sheet big enough to go under laptop ( like from a trashbag ) and lots of rice.

put the rice down in bottom of bin, then sheet of plastic then laptop. close the bin. the rice will absorb any of the moisture still in the case.
