What about Silverlight?

I see SilverLight is a recommended update... Is this worth having? Is it used anywhere besides Microsoft websites?

Silverlight is used for Netflix movies as well as a slow integration to other websites. I say it's worth the update for sure

it isn't widespread but as mentioned netflix and a few other sites also use it, and it doesn't have a noticeable impact on performance so go ahead and grab it. i did read however that ms may be shutting down the silverlight project in the future, but they are still actively working on the next build so the source could be wrong

I didn't care much for Netflix online movie feature untill Silverlight entered the 'picture'.
