Might be a good card for a low powered Home Server type machine? Easier to connect to home entertainment equipment and smaller size to fit into micro boards? Just a couple of quick guesses.
Here's another one, and if you look in the feedback/comments area it talks about how good it does video playback and how little power it consumes, sounds like these cards are targeted to Home server/DVD/Media centers that want small form factor and low power consumption.... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131339
NEWEGG.COM is the best!!!!! But ya i think they're made for smaller media center setups. Ill stick with the higher end cards that look like they're beast instead of something that looks like i could make myself. tehehe
On the cheap HP/Dell/ACER prebuilts with 200-300W power supplies that is all they can handle and twice the graphics of the onboard graphics of low end systems.
A lot better than my old HP with Intel 915 on board.
