I'm not a hardcore fanboy of any antivirus software.. i just wanted to know what you guys on the forum use, mainly because i want some uncommon antivirus to test out on a highly infected virtual machine

I am using Webroot spysweeper with Antivirus I been useing this for like 4 years all current my last purchase ended up being free

So i can't go wrong and it was also rated I not knowing this in pc magazine the best you can use currently

Seriously as far as i am concerned this works for me i am not a Norton fan Nor a Mcafee fan or any orther sort of avg etc ......


Most of the time people who catch major viruses are those who enjoy pirated sites not all downloadable sites will virus you thus I learned over the years piracy screws your rig as well

That is a good reason to stay legit and clean install with out the bothersome Bs of cracking and installing replacing dll etc

Anyway thats my take hope it wasn't to harsh

I'm login'd as Administrator and having the UAC settings to never notify how about you guys ?

my AV only notifys me of updates or a major virus and it will block any and all installations that are really risky or have a present in them

This AV is that good cause i download and install alot of trail and custom software and it doesn't block anything unless it catches something while the file is being opened it immediatly terminates it and you have to delete it cause it wont let you install or clean it

which is a good option no use in forcing a bad proggie on your system to cause fail

Not me. i have UAC set to default and use a limited user account.
