Is it me or does Brimful of Asha use Lou Reeds riff. You know the one on Sweet Jane and various other of his songs Very nice though.
I'm hoping to be proved wrong but I suspect Mike Skinner (The Streets) has run out of steam. His latest releases don't seem up to par.
Nick Drake is always welcome. I wonder where he would have gone musically if he hadn't died so young? I recall I used to fancy his sister as a kid, she was in some sci fi tv show at the time

John Martyn wrote this as a requiem to Nick Drake. They were great mates apparently and both members of the Mumblers Club. No one seems to sing like this at the moment.
I wonder who copied who?
I think I'll have a look for some modern mumblers

Well that was different
Not normally my sort of stuff and I didn't really like the Mountaijn much but the Georgia Satellites were okay. I've heard a bit of the Black Crowes and this is good.
Black Betty is just a classic that seems to have always been there.
It's 3am here so maybe it would have been better to listen to this stuff earlier.
Nice thing is like I said the other night. This like being round someone's house with people from all over the world. There's a party going on and every now and then somebody heaves off a sofa, goes over to the sound system and puts some tunes on.
Sometimes you like em and sometimes you're not sure.
I've been looking back over the thread and there has been some great stuff posted.
