Hi Folks. Some nice stuff getting played since I was last upright. Enjoyed PJ Harvey Sanvean, was that Bjork before it?
And Bill (I know you're just a guy), nice selection. For some reason I just can't get into Muse but I enjoyed the rest. Hadn't heard Seether or Rise Against before. Nice. Is Savior an American spelling of Saviour (as in christ etc.)
Anyway they put me in mind of this lot:

I've really been on a female vocalist kick lately. Lacuna Coil is an awesome band from Italy...almost in the same vein as Nightwish, but not as symphonic.

Yeah, I've checked out PJ Harvey and Portishead before. I like both of them. If you're a fan of remixing stuff, check out Remix - remix.nin.com. They have the multitracks up for download for a lot of NIN songs, a couple Jane's Addiction songs and a couple How To Destroy Angels songs. You have to create an account, but Trent won't do anything naughty with your info. I've thrown a remix up there that I did...might get back into that.

John, I don't know on the spelling, just tried to remember randowm newer songs I like . blackrose, Lacuna Coil was good, not quite my style, that song anyway, kinda a bit Evanescence sounding.

I got to see Echo and the Bunnymen with New Order, in concert back in 1986!!!

Good ones Sanvean, makes me remember listening to "Modern Rock" when these 1st came out. I'm still a classic rock guy, but have always listened to what's new. My friends were stuck on Foghat and Foreigner and didn't want to hear, lol.

My favorite of that bunch is the Icicle Works. The Modern English always makes me think of the movie Valley Girl

Like all those Bill. They bring back some very happy memories and some sad ones.
The La's song is gorgeous. It's a pity they never really matched it again. Perfect pop.
Richard Ashcroft has made some more recent stuff. I think this is nice. I suppose it's 4 or 5 years ago now though.
