Last Saturday our Town celebrated it's annual Flora Day. This is where local people dance through the streets, in and out of shops and houses to welcome the coming of summer. Here's a short clip from the video I made that just gives a hint of what it all looks like, There's nothing really like being here on the day and seeing it all live. Best viewed in HD!

The B/W to color was done using a Hue and Saturation effect, edited to graduallyshow the strong colors first. I like this effect as it reminds me of when I was a kid, many years ago when color movies (Coloured films for UK readers) first came out they used this effect to emphasise the glory of the new color.

the Wizard of Oz was a good film for that ,how the brick road turned yellow

Agreed Peb, and just love that film no matter how many times I see it! Sumptuous use of color in that film as u rightly say.

Indeeed we do. We feel very privileged! We have nbeen here for nearly 30 years and are vey close to becoming "Honourary Helstonians". A high honour indeed!
