Solved What do I do?

hi, i need some help...i tried putting on my laptop this morning which uses windows 7 OS its an Acer laptop. After powering on it went to a black screen..on the black screen it asked me to put in my boot cd..i m not sure what caused this..when i bought this laptop..i didnt get any cd's with it so im at a loss...i dont know what to do..do i just need to re install a new OS or can this be fixed otherwise? Can someone help me?

Read the manual for your model. There should be a system to Reinstall the OS from the hard drive. It would be either a key combo or one of the function key that would give you that option.
