Hi there

Unfortunately that won't make ANY difference to you as a consumer unless you can hobble / cobble some sort of deal with Ms.

It's like some of those Debt Collection agencies chasing debts passed to them by Banks etc. They buy packets of these for PENNIES in the POUND (Cents in the dollar) etc and then try and get the FULL AMOUNT from the debtor -- for example say there is a credit default of 3,000 USD on a credit card and the person who owes the money has had some type of problem such as losing a job etc and can't pay the debt eventually the Banks will pass this over to some "Collection agency" for peanuts - around 30 USD on the 3,000 USD debt --- might be even less.

Now if you are the debtor you *might* be able to arrange a cheap settlement but it's usually highly unlikely.

While Ms isn't in the same evil and immoral business of buying parcels of debts at pennies in the pound and then trying to extract the full value from the unfortunate debtor by operating as a Debt collection agency you probably have LESS chance of negotiating an OEM deal with Ms than you do with speaking to one of those really evil debt collection agencies.

BTW if any of you are ever hounded by these really evil businesses they have to go a long long way before the matter ends up in a Court so always ensure YOU are in control -- not them - and if all you can afford is 1 USD a month don't pay them any more. !!! No Court will make you pay money you don't have and they can't flog your property for "unsecured" debts like credit cards etc.

Cheers

They couldn't give me Windows 8 or 8.1 as a free gift! I will use 7 until I can get 10, if it appeals to me.

Regarding debts and debtors: in the UK, there are restrictions upon bailiffs. It is very difficult for them to enter your home without an invitation. See the official UK Government advice:

Yeah...the NERVE of those evil agencies daring to try and collect THE FULL AMOUNT from people who spent more than they could afford to pay!!! Those evil banks should just let them not pay!! I mean, that;s fair, right?

They should be more responsible, like governments... uhhh... well... maybe not.

I have whole story on this subject I am not got into that here, suffice to say not everybody get into debt by spending more that they can afford to pay. There medical, job loss, death, low U.S. social secuirty payments. Some people use it to survive without becoming homeless. One major problem is sometimes your regular bill doubles or triple just happened with us are electric & water bill went way way up. For example enough to pay one credit card payment. What a person suppose to pay the electric bill or credit card bill? Another major problem is the credit cards interest rates. They need to be capped at 10% even though that means less people with have less access to them.

Just a note, we are paying our bills just fine.
