how do I fix it?.... short of the story is this...
Everything on my new computer (fonts, webpages are not fitting my screen 22.5 inch flat screen monitor FHD2102 resolution 1920x1080 from gateway the way it was unless I do it manually and it still doesn't fit like it should, e-mail contents, icons) all where very small when i started my computer up....
Came to this wonderful forum, a really nice man helped me....told me to get back EI, so i did.. I was using firefox. I am running windows 7.
I use incredimail.. and everything in the box where my e-mails are are so very small... I have tried to change it but no success as of yet. everything else seems to be good.
I was also told to download and run Malwarebytes.... did that... it found one thing....

ok, so i ran the scan for that program.
It found one thing
Vender - Hijack.DisplayProperities
Category - Registry Data
Items - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\NoActiveDesktopChanges
Other- Bad(1) Good(0)
Action Taken - No Action Taken

does this have anything do do with what is going on with my sizing? and if so what do I do to get rid of it? I have never used this program before.

Hi Canadiangal,

If Malwarebytes found a 'Bad' item involving Display Properties, it seems logical that it's related to your display issue. Since deleting this item would modify the registry, make sure you back up the registry first, along with any important data you wouldn't want to lose. Then run Malwarebytes again and delete the suspicious item. Let us know how it goes.

Cheers,

I am a bit nervious about doing this... is it as simple as backing up my files(windows) on a dvd/s and then just going to the program(malwarebytes) and deleting the file?
can you kindly walk me through it please.. . just don't want to mess this new computer up...:(

The Hijack.DisplayProperities Item in MBAM dosn't really do nothing remove it or ignore it .. i ignored it, as for the Desktop resolution have you tried under different sizes? does the monitor have like a auto-res button.
