Steam takes decades to connect, and its great design flaw means you can't play in offline mode without setting it first while online! And well don't know if I want to lower myself to bf3's single player lol

oh, so it's not just me with that online/offline issue! good to know (but a pain for all), as I was thinking Steam was broken when being offline and saying it couldn't be offline in offline mode
Why do they think the cloud is the future? Until everyone has lighting-fast internet connections, no download caps and 1PB (yes, PB) HDDs or incredibly limited tastes in gaming, I don't see it taking off.
