only games i got free from steam personally before was they gave me portal 1 all other f2p and 3 of them i bought them which are dragon age origins with dlc,mass effect 2 and NFS:Hot Pursuit that i bought in the Autumn sale DAO was 75% off and the other 2 were %50 off so instead of paying $30usd for dragon age with the dlc i paid $15usd and the other two instead of paying $20usd i payed $10usd sweat deals
so i spent $35usd instead of $70usd if i would have bought them at the regular price, saved me $35usd ^^

Its an old school style 2D Sidescroller-Platformer with Anime type cutscenes.

I beaten both max paynes before loves the game play also played alot of silent hill except this one

Never played a Max Payne Game before, so not even the slightest clue there.



As far Silent Hill ... I have had my eye on it a while so I went ahead and grabbed it, but never I have played it. The only one I havent played i think ...

but I remember as a kid playing the previous Silent Hill games and really enjoyed them.
Im just hoping its somewhat similar to past Silent Hill Games. I just went by the previous SH games myself, and took a gamble.

Still havent downloaded and tried it yet though as Ive been tied up with other things ... stupid Blade Kitten


Another reason I picked up SH is because I do not see it on sale that often. And didnt really want to pay 39.99 for it, which most always seems to be.



Also, for those who really like RPG and Action oriented combat RPG specifically, Dragon Knight Saga for $9.99 is a awesome game.
At least, once get over the initial shock of the dated looking graphics & poorly implemented AA, the game itself is very good.

Yea, I just installed it and checked it out.

For 1, its locked at 30FPS and it doesnt run very well. Seems to stutter alot I think due to the low framerate.
tried several ways to unlock it, but it seems hardcoded.

No idea about bugs etc .. but it sure doesnt run well.

I got Luxor 5 which i love no problem there

Also picked up Batman Arkum Asylum for 13.99 i spent a tottal of 26.99 last night on steam purchases

Since i havn't played silent hill yet you think steam will let me give it back for something else ?

I just activated Luxor and Batman /Havn't tryed the new silent hill ,On a positive note just like whishmaster i enjoyed the previous one's

Hearing this news that it sucks is disapointing I take all your advice as good advice and not every game looks good on paper that's for sure

Well Batman AA is a amazing game and i would say it was one the best action game i've ever played... too bad for Silent Hill Homecoming though and im not sure that if steam would let you give it back as it's all online thingy stuff

yes that's true not every game looks good on paper and it's always good to read the reviews and watch gameplay/review videos on you tube before buy anything.. i saved my self from buy bad games alot of times by just watching videos and trust me sometimes games even look more nice on 360p videos LOL but that's a fact

Best was Silent Hill 2 than Silent Hill 4: The Room and last Silent Hill 3 hopefully the next Silent Hill not be as stupid as Homecoming.

Yeah I beat them both too but took a gamble at Silent Hill now i feel like I duped myself :shock:

Whew! I just spent the last few hours (shame on me) playing Morrowind with the new Graphics & Sound mod.
I gotta tell you, this thing is huge, but well worth it.
It's like a whole different game.
So far, I have to give it both thumbs up.
The graphics in the original don't stand a chance and the sound is better, too.
If you love Morrowind as I do, then take the time to install this. You'll be glad you did.

Well, I spent a little time with Silent Hill last night, and it does have the old school SH/Resident Evil feel to it, which is a good thing.

So far its ... OK.
My main gripe is the 30FPS lock, and no way to get around it. And I suppose Im one thast quite sensive to it, but a PC game locked at 30FPS irritates me as I truly notice it. It has a jittery feel to the gameplay, and its certainly noticeable.

Secondly, the audio .. theres something not right about it. The sound seperation just doesnt sound right.
Changing my Titanium HD sound card to game Mode helps, but it still doesnt seem right.


On a positive note,
Its not very demanding. On high settings my GTX 570 was running at 2% GPU use. No joke LOL. I think IE9 is more demanding on it.
Also, there is a fan patch thast supposed to fix much of this, but Ive yet to try it.


Its playable, but the performance is annoying to an extent. Ill get through it, and if you are a Silent Hill fan as I am, it may be worth playing through despite these issues Ive noticed thus far. Still kinda of wish I didnt buy it though.

My thoughts anyway.

Big Gamble.
I know a few have reported getting full games, and many just a coupon.

I got a 10% off Valve title for 7 coals. Wish Id kept them now.


But a game is a chance. So... the big question is ..

Do you want the 7 entries in Grand Drawing which is a very slim chance of winning?

Or, a chance at a Game or possibly a totally useless coupon.
BTW, the game is Random.
It could be Skyrim,Left 4 Dead, something you already have ... or a really crappy 99cent indie title.
