Gone back to playing CoD4. I played Black Ops with some friends on Xbox, got me in the mood for CoD4, which in turn I then asked by sister to pick me Black Ops up on PC for Christmas. Also playing Minecraft too, just bought the full version today and been having a blast on it.

I know already this is going to fill my PM inbox with some negative comments, but anyway:

I have never understood how people can play, even enjoy these games where the whole idea is to kill. I fail to understand the entertainment value of killing and violence, can not imagine how someone get his / her kicks from the amount of bodies he / she can make. The more blood, the better. Strange.

Free world, I know. You play what you want, it's not my problem. The above mentioned is only my personal opinion.

I get my kicks from a good golf or sailing simulator. Lately I've been playing Roller Coaster tycoon 3, which I find quite addictive. It's also very easy to play for a recovering person who could only use one hand and a trackball.

I can relate to what you're saying to a degree. For me, although I do have some FPS shooters, I much prefer games that don't encourage you to kill but instead try to steer you toward killing as few or no one if possible. Any Hitman game, any of the Splinter Cell games, the Thief series, Deus Ex, any of those are games I like. You put something like Counter Strike, Crysis, Call of Duty, or anything like that and I will be bored rather quickly because I've never really been a fan of the FPS and of games that just shoot for the hell of it and encourage you to do so and to kill everything in your path.

I will admit though that the GTA series has always been exception for me because the fantasy of running around like a maniac in a city doing what you want is just fun. I think of it like a movie and just let my imagination run wild to do what I want.

Though I'll admit, the most fun for me in terms of games are racing games such as the Need For Speed series, the Forza series and such. And also, I like adventure games and platformers such as almost any Sonic the Hedgehog game, Super Mario game, and simulators such as SimCity 4.

I guess it depends on each person and their thought process. And I think smarteyeball said it best:

Lair of the Shadowbroker is one of the best DLC's I've played in a long time. Great game.

Same. I finished the Lost and the damned and am about halfway through TBOGT. I've been about halfway through for months now...


I pooh poohed NFS HP in a previous post, but after playing some more of it - I'm enjoying it a lot more now.

Although they really squandered an great opportunity with the free ride option.

torchlight is fun, and very diablo. i kept getting my ass handed to me on a silver platter with a side of french fried potatos tho :devil:
