What Games Are You Playing?

Think I did the right thing with hanging on to buy it then. It's £15 on Amazon already, so I'll pick it up sometime in the new year.

To be clear, if you liked Fallout 3 and its game play then Fallout New Vegas is pretty much the same, other than a new location, and the added benefits of companions.

That's the problem, not enough changed to make it feel different, especially game play, so after a while you become bored because you're constantly doing the same thing you did in Fallout 3.... seek, fetch, & chat em up as mickey said. It literally feels like a huge expansion instead of a separate game.

Add to this all the bugs and problems it has and it becomes something you're not in a hurry to play or finish. It's one of those I've got nothing better to do games

Yea that's why I'm glad I didn't buy it at release, as from what I saw it didn't look that great. I'll get it, for the reason you said, just for the sake of having a game to play while I wait for other stuff like Assassins Creed 3 and Crysis 2.

Good move. I made the mistake of buying the Collector's Edition on release day for $70 bucks (US)

To this day I don't think I'm half way through the game

been thinking about getting mass effect 2 but everyone is telling me i need to play 1 first? any thoughts?

Personally, I liked 1 better than 2, although they are both excellent.

But... its a very story driven game.

To get the most out of it, Yes, start with ME1.

Once you complete ME1, you can import your character to start 2 with. So all your choices from 1 will have some form of impact in 2.

Personally, I liked 1 better than 2, although they are both excellent.

But... its a very story driven game.

To get the most out of it, Yes, start with ME1.

Once you complete ME1, you can import your character to start 2 with. So all your choices from 1 will have some form of impact in 2.

In the case of Mass Effect, you really do want to play 1 first. As Wishmaster has stated, it is very story driven, and the fact that you can import your charactor from the first game does impact the second. And when Mass Effect 3 is released, the decisions from 2 will have impact as well (if you import your charactor).

Anyways I don't think you'll find many people who will tell you to forgo the first game.

As to which game is better? I love both games, but Mass Effect 1 has more of a PC feel and a better inventory system.

My two cents.

The customisation was much, much better (why they took out toggable helmets I'll never know ). Though apart from that, I love both just as much really. What I love the most about both is though I've played both about 7 or 8 times and each time I played it I found something new. Not many games I've played has been like that for me. But then not many games I've played can give that amount of replay value.

We completely agree here. And yeah, removing the helmet toggle was rather dumb in my opinion. Adds more of a realistic personal touch being able to remove the helmet.

Anyway just about to finish off FEAR 2's DLC Reborn? It OK thus far. I'm a big FEAR fan as well

Been playing Test Drive Unlimited lately. This was the game that made me want to buy a 360 - lo and behold, I never did. I see now why it failed.

I bought Crysis last night, since I got my ATi 5770 and my Core 2 Quad, I wanted to see what all the fuss is about and I must say it looks amazing and plays well too.

Yea I like it when trees fall down if a grenade explodes next to one. Little things like that can make a big difference, like tyres exploding if you shoot them too.

yesterday got Battlefield: Bad Company 2. another one goes to backlog. thank you dear mr Steam. today's sale has nothing particularly interesting. 4 more hours left to next batch of deals...

finished story in Just Cause 2 but can't get to delete it because i still feel the urge to play with grappling hook xD it should have been called Just Grappling Hook 2. possibilities are crazy xD

Bought AvP and Railworks 2 in the Steam sale yesterday. I used to play Train Simulator all the time back in the day, so thought I'd try another simulator game. It's alright. Gets boring in places. Can see the 90 min scenarios being a killer, lol.

Well I'm still struggling with Fallout New Vegas so I bought the Fear Complete pack and just finished off FEAR 2 Reborn (DLC). It was .... o...k, I guess

Anyway going to give Mirror's Edge a go now.

BTW I got FEAR the complete package and Mirror's Edge a couple of days ago during the Steam sale

MY favorite game is a online game called maple story. I'm sort of addicted to know LOL but I find it fun. I enjoy the Diablo games alot and some games like that. I cant wait for Diablo 3 game to be released.
