I avoid helicopters. My flight path in them can be mapped with a slow upwards gradiant then a sharp drop down to a burning wreck.

FTW! The game is friggin' awesome! I only remember the first one vaguely, and it probably didn't interest me too much since I'm sure I never finished it.. But the sequel is almost epic! Not exactly the most original story, but character development is totally badass!

i can also vouch for two worlds 2. i played the first one and it kept me mildly entertained. however, the sequel is a very huge step up from the first one, in all aspects of gameplay and mechanics. i would definitely recommend it

I've heard it's suppost to be a pretty good MMO, but no MMO is worth that much when you have to pay a monthly subscription for it.

I agree with this.
IMHO, most of these MMOs should let you just have the game if there is a subscription.
Or at the very least sell the game cheaply, like $15 or so + monthly.

Afterall, its not as if the online portion & fee is an optional part of the game. Its absolutely mandatory.

$50 plus a monthly fee is a bit much.

just started playing fallout 3 (not vegas) again. this time i'm going to be a naughty boy, and check out a couple of mods - including wanderers edition and marts mutant mod.

i also plan to check out the dlc, which i've never tried before - is it best to finish the game first before the dlc? or are they just extra missions which you can run at the same time?

i remember that it used to crash a lot for me, but so far, so good. i now only get a crash each time i exit the game, and i have to kill fallout through task manager.

FO3 is still one of my favorite games. I like it better than NV TBH.

Wanders is a very good mod. It really changes alot and makes it a bit harder.
All for the better I think.

What my Mod setup is for FO3, if interested:

Wanders Edition
Marts Mutant Mod
Project Beauty
Weapon Mod Kits
Fellout with Fallout Street Lights

I also use NMC retexture pack, with a few other re-texs and Exnems Body Mod.

I would suggest looking into FOIP as well, especially if using other Mods with FWE.
Fallout Interoperability Program - FOIP at Fallout 3 Nexus - Fallout 3 mods and community

Basically just patches so all the all work together nicely.
Regardless what you choose, it will be helpful for the FWE and MMM combo you've chosen.

Ah, and remember not to insatll all the extra plugins for Marts. Its all included in FWE from in game menus.

Since you're using FWE, you Obviously have FOSE. You may want to check into the stutter remover plug in. It helps with some of the stutter but also solved the occasions crash message on Exit for me. (I just change the FPS Min and MAX to 0 so it doesnt try to mess with FPS)

AS far as DLC, Broken Steel is probably the biggest one. As it increses lvl Cap to 30 and continues the story where the original game left off.

The rest you can play at any point through the game you want to, once you find them.

Been enjoying the steam fo3 goty. Did play some borderlands the other day with my bud, and dropped him all my sweet gear to dupe since playing the dlc4 with the clap traps.

*I made this ag from screen shots. Ha ha pint size is a trip. I just found a mask of his at po..>

fo3pintsize.gif

fo3wide0003.jpg

Fallout 3 might still crash sometimes for no real reason, but not very often and not much at all since I did the multi thread fix..

fo3wide0001.jpg

I have tons of videos to upload to youtube. I already have some older videos in 4:3, all the new ones are 16:9. Tons of screens too..

fo3wide1174.jpg

* My fo3 play list at youtube..>

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

I have many side missions yet to do in the main game. I finished oa bs and the pit, playing po now, just started really. I did not so much like the pit, it was ok I guess. I surely do not like the slave look of weakness. I would rather fight and or die. I will never be anyone's b itch or slave. Some hot babe might have me for her love slave tho, Ha ha.. Even that only goes so far..

fo3wide1891.jpg

Point outlook is pretty dead and boring so far, maybe it gets better.. I do like the new gear I pick up , weapons and armor etc, tho I may not really use any of it. I have it stored away or trophy's. I can dress up and get some screens or vids- or dress up maybe charon anyway. So, its all good. Free cam is cool.

fo3wide1918.jpg

I might start my own general fo3 thread. Game talk and screens and videos. Other folks would be more than welcome to add in talk or post screens what ever. I might start such a thread for a lot of other games, or just 1 general thread talking about all of my games and posting screens etc. I am not sure yet.

fo3wide2337.jpg

W7 site is cool with gamers, so the w7 site is cool with me..

It is game time now, get on through with po, and start the alien space ship dlc zeta what ever its called. as of now, I have 2 alien blasters and a fire lance. I think it is other alien tech on the space ship, its just the ammo is hard to come by, so I never much use the guns. I am at lev 28 now..

I was thinking about some fo3 mods some time ago, but it is more like pulling teeth. You have to install some 3 programs I know not 1 thing about just to play the dlc's, they can keep them. It is way more easy to play mod stuff in other games like ut04 hl2 or even stalker games. Fo3 is enough troubles all by its self.. I can say, playing the steam game. I am really glad I can avoid all sorry gfwl junk.

Have fun see ya.. :D

Nice screens wishmaster.

That gal looks [moria I think is her name?] different than stock game. As far as text go. Well I am 48 years old now, my eyes are getting bad, mostly from these rps games and have to read a lot and view stats on weapons what ever. I am getting far sighted I guess, and have to use reading glasses I got from the drug store to pretty much read any text anymore. So small text in games is not good for me and I guess most older folks or far sighted. The larger the better for me- less reading all together the better for me.

My larger brighter lcd helps tho. I guess it is possible I have always been a a lil far sighted- but normally if tired maybe. For the record my eyes have always been better than 20/20 and my hearing or smell or taste always better than normal. Could run 20 miles a day and all while smoking a pack a day. Been years since I have done any running tho, physical problems.

Them screens look nice, maybe it is my monitor setting, but your screens look a lil dark. You might not know it, I am just saying is all. Like I would hope others would tell me such things. What might look good to us and after posted online can be darker etc. We do not know it, unless we see them on another pc etc.

Any screens or videos I plan to post on line- I always make them more bright than I might normally play [in game settings I up brightness]. Videos for sure and being converted and to smaller res are darker than when recorded or on my dtop so. Screens can be made more bright with any edit program- I like irafan view me self. So do not get upset, I am trying to help if anything. To think about it, it does look like you did not have on your light, so that will make the area darker too.

I know no matter how high in game I set bright for older cod games- they recorded dark no matter what I did. Pissed me off too. My last screen in my slave outfit- seems a lil white washed. It's because I had on my light, and well, I made him pale to start with. He has lived in a hole in the ground all his life [what 19 years I think it is?]- and was not into tanning boths- ha ha..

Have fun. See ya..

It is a bit differnet, but because my game is heavily modded.

The reason Moria (and other NPCs for that matter) look different is due to a mod called Project Beauty.

And yes, mines a bit darker, although not quite as dark looking in game as the screensots are. But still a bit on the dark side.

Fellout is another mod I love along with all the lighting mods.
Nights are really dark, and indoors are dark as well, unless theres a light source. So light sorces actually work better :)

But outdoors at day is brighter, without the greenish tint Vanilla FO has.

I like it this way personally, although not everyone does or will.

Mods are a lot fun to play with, and certainly change the game alot. But I would reccomend if you have not played through the entire game yet, go through it at least 1 time before you start modding things.
That way you know what you would like to have added or improved to suit your tastes better, as well as how the game was originally intended.

Anything resized to be more small will naturally be darker and might be even darker when uploaded to the net and might be converted again at the host site. Just something to think about maybe.

Game time- I have to go and join a cult to help out the ghoul at the mansion in point outlook.. I have some cool hats and lever action gun tho, maybe I will get other cool stuff.. I left the game after checking out the light tower.

I notice in the dlc's some of the ghouls are harder to kill than in the main game. Man the reavers in bs was a trip. Fawkes and I emptied clip after clip into some of them- seems to just make them mad- ha ha. It was funny, I have it on video.. I want to go back just to fight them some more. Some giants seem more hard to kill too.

See ya..

There were some tough critters in Point Lookout too, as you've likely found out by now.

But, I wont say anymore than that ATM as I dont want to potentially spoil anything for you storywise.

Have fun :D
