I don't think free accounts are that restricted. I think all a paid account gets is more storage space and things like that.

So do you consider Bioshock 2 a flop? It sounds new to me..

Having played Bioshock and right after that Bioshock 2 (which I'm still playing in these days) I must admit that I was expecting some more improvement between the first Bioshock and the second one, but I find BS2 very fun to play anyway: it's more "tactical" than the first one (especially when you have to protect the little sister from the splicers while she gets the Adam) and I also find it more challenging than the first BS
It doesn't make me strive to get it finished (like the first BS did) but when I'm playing it I just feel difficult to stop.

Unfortunately I do.

Yeah, there are some challenges like saving the little sisters from the splicers, fighting the Big sisters, OK.

To me though, the game felt rushed, and and the story wasn't really that compelling. Graphics were debatable - some said they looked better, others said the looked the same, I'm in the middle.

Now I'm a HUGE Bioshock 1 fan! I absolutely loved the story, the environment, art, graphics, music. For me....Bioshock 2 didn't deliver in any of these areas. Add to that the short length of the game.... well :shock:

BTW my flop also has to do with the contents of the Collectors Edition, even though I felt more could have been added, it is far superior than the collector editions of Mass Effect 2, Fallout New Vegas, and now, even though I didn't get it (collectors edition), Dead Space 2 (PC Version).

i finished dead space yesterday, and finished watching the animations today.

ima start playing dead space 2 in a couple of minutes

Its a ok game played it online and I like it. pretty long game but goes fast. still playing forza 3 and 2 on xbox360 on forza 2 i have like 500million from selling GT40's with custom paint jobs.

something i just realized: dead space was the first game i got so i could get a feel what my new gfx card could do, and now dead space 2 is the first game of the new year. kinda neat

I know what you mean. I was actually going to get the game when I got my new card (6950) but I couldn't wait so I got the game and started palying. Card will be here sometime today. Can't wait.

Graphically, they were the same. It was just a 'continued development' of an existing game.

Technically, the gameplay improvements of BS2 were superior to BS1 - but the originals strength was all about the ' game world atmosphere'.

BS2 promised more than it delivered. In reality the story was weaker and the 'atmosphere' felt stale. A case of been there, done that.

Well Fed Ex is now showing status a "shipment delayed"

If you're talking to me, my 4890 is holding up rather well. Haven't found a game I couldn't play. It's just time to move into the DX11 world now, though the only DX11 game I have is Metro.

Just got an e-mail from Amazon saying they are refunding my one day shipping costs since I can't get my card today due to bad weather in Indianapolis.

Hope I get it tomorrow XXX

I think that would depend on your wallet. If your card is still working, and it does what you want then....

For me, I was already one generation behind, it's a better card, and this was the last item to complete my current build.

With that, for me, it was worth it. Plus it's a birthday gift to me


BTW Dead Space 2 is looking pretty good. Enjoying it thus far.

You'd notice an improvement, although your TV's 720P resolution would be a limiting factor. (less noticeable than if it were 1080p for example)

As for DX11 - it's implementation in titles so far is kind of 'meh'
