What Games Are You Playing?

Stalker 2 will have a new in house engine- I will not pay full price for gsc any more- It will be hard on me but being so buggy what ever I cant see it. But I love the games hate pulling out my hair for glitchy stuff- So it is a game I will get someday. Actually I feel the same about 2k- I got bioshock late- a steam gift it had the last patch and run like a top for me- I have played it like 15x total- stalker soc 46x. but bio2 was a let down in every way or for me. Bio infinity looks awesome I will get it someday when the price goes down and Rage maybe vegas- I will not pay full price for anything beth either.

I would love to have those games- maybe a new postal game I think a new one came out a year or so ago cant remember now? I would like to see a updated ut04 game- I would say the same ut2.5 engine that bioshock and other games use- them games use a hybrid engine its a combo ut04 and ut3 engine- I think only gears and ut3 game have the true ut3 engine- UT3 pretty much sucked then attitudes and how they will not fix wide screen support- that game has been out how long now? they even ban folks from their site for talking or complaining about it- they would dog ya out and ban ya for complaining about all the cheating in ut04. I am not sure how they could do it- but anything that breaks the feel and gun play of ut04 would ruin it-

A better looking ut04 game would be awesome, so never full price again for a epic game. Very few mp game to this day are as good as ut04 and none as epic or massive content and or game modes or mods maps skins or total conversions- it was awesome- cheated really bad tho.. TDM was my fav but liked ons ctf dm- man my ut04 file was like 35gigs of stuff- I loved it. UT3 was pretty much pee poor- titans did help- being I have a wide screen now- I can never play ut3 again- downloaded over a gig of maps the other day- stopped before install to read the tweak guide seen the wide crap- I deleted it all and did not install- Man that sucks, makes me hate epic for sorry stuff like this..

Was a time I played ut04 mp 17 hours a day for 2 1/2 years- got sick of being cheated pretty much stopped playing all mp games after that, I loved it tho.. Maybe fear2/3 someday. Oh man a postal2 with same engine upgrade as ut04 above- nothing that breaks the feel of postal2 just look better etc. Need a better vid card first- maybe oc my system some I think I should play them games ok..

might fire up dead space in a bit.. See ya..

Ironically I don't get into on-line game playing but I liked the UT series so I got the ones I have. I just play in single player mode.

Also if you look at that collection closely you'll see Unreal & Unreal 2. Man did I love Unreal. It's my all time favorite game! Unreal 2 = meh.

lol, me too. i've been playing pc games since before windows (my fave was ancient art of war), but it's only the last five years or so that i've had a decent internet connection that i've gamed online.

i first got into cod 2 online, then i found bf2 for sale in a bargain-bin for £5 - not a bad price for literally a couple of thousand hours of multiplayer gaming fun! never really got into any other online shooters apart from bad company 2 - oh apart from the l4d series, but it's been a few months since i've played those. never got into the newer cods online. never played counter-strike

in fact thinking about it, i don't play many other games online at all, apart from an occasional battle with a friend on medieval 2, a game of the excellent defcon from time to time and finally i've played a couple of dirt2 online sessions, but i kept finishing in last place

oh, nearly forgot, there's this great online game called 'sevenforums' - if you answer the questions right, you get awarded with points, pips and medals - it's very addictive.

Anyone try this yet? Been hearing some good things overall, but a bit unsure.
The 1st Two Worlds was simply wretched IMHO, couldnt stand it.



Might grab a game today but not sure what to get. Been mostly saving for a new GPU, but might squeeze in a game.

I'm the kind of gamer who likes to take time with games so I generally don't rush through them. My point - I'm still playing it though I can tell I'm near the end. Game length seems to be about the same as the first one.

Anyways the game pretty much plays like the first one, and the environment and atmosphere is pretty much the same. The story is pretty good and picks up from DS1 although the focus is on Isaac.

Overall I like the game though if you played the first one you know the game play, added is now when you enter zero-gravity areas you have more maneuverability since you now have thrusters on your suit so that's a welcome change.

So is it worth $60 bucks? Depends on how much of a fan you are, and how curious you are about the story?

Curiosity got the better of me so I took the $60 dollar plunge... am I sorry.... not really. Do I want to spend 60 bucks for games???? No, but like any hobby or entertainment, if you want it..... you gotta spend money.

Well, I picked up Two Worlds 2 for now. Gonna wait a couple weeks for Dead Space.

So far, superior to the first, which I thought was incredibly horrible.

Having a blast with it at this point, but Im only a couple hours into the game, and thus just now finishing the tutorials.

Played the last 2 Betas. At first it was a lot of fun but...
Character Creations and Armor/Weapon models were seriously lacking.
Hopefully they change this but, ATM, absolutly everyone looks the same aside from race. Not really a gameplay breaker, but something that bugged me.

The game ceratinly has alot of WAR influence, as well as some WOW and EQ2, with a bit of AION.

Rifts & invasions started becoming very boring very quick. Just a massive zerg of people killing mobs that seem to be no threat to the players.

Leveling and difficulty of the game was just far to easy. I managed all blue gear and lvl 32 in just 2 days, with little to no challenge.
Unless they change the level rate, a large majority will be at level cap before Headstart is finished and the game goes live.
This may change, lets hope so.

For those who want PVP, they recent update changes have ruined open world PVP. So the majority at this point will be in a instanced Warfield. Which also gets boring fast, and not really PVP IMHO. Being a PVP type player in MMOs, this is a Game Breaker for me.

Overall the game was fun. Ill admit that. And I did enjoy it for awhile.
But the sad thing is, it just gets repeatative after awhile.

At around Lvl 13-15, you have already got all your classes Souls. You've already done all the quests, Rifts, and Invasions.
Its now just a repeat all over again all the way to lvl cap, with just a different mob to kill.


Overall, its fun for awhile. But everything seems to be set up as a instant gratification type game. It takes little effort to really gear up, or level up.


I know there are many who completely disagree with my opionion of the game.
But, thats all it is, an opinion. To each thier own.

The game is also in Beta, so many of these complaints may very well change.
However, I think it is safe to say, that with a game in beta & just a couple weeks from going live, What you see is what you get.
At this point, a few bug fixes and overall stability tweaks is what they would be working on. The Game itself is set, or at least typically how it is.


I miss the old days of MMOS. Where class decisions mattered, and had a impact.
Where doing something stupid imposed a penalty.
Making friends/allies to adventure was a neccesity to survive, not an option.
Everything posed a challenge, and you had to work hard to earn what you had.
Nothing was given to you.

- if you've never played DS1, I thoroughly recommend you give it a go..
- it's basic adventure stuff, but even after all these years it plays beautifully..
- old-fashioned hack 'n slash it may be, but it just flows along and it still looks great..
