What games might you recommend for me?

Instead of a load of people naming games that might not give you a smooth gaming experience, I suggest you check out a very simple online tool called 'Can you run it?'. You can find it here: Can You Run It?
Just type in a game's name or select one from the list and to how well (or how bad) it will run on your machine.
If you're looking for new games I suggest watching trailers etc on Gametrailers; Video Game Trailers for Wii, PSP, Xbox, PS3 & More | Upcoming Video Games
Then if you find one you like you can use Can you run it to see if it'll run well on your machine

If FPS games are what you fancy, I'd suggest some kind of free online FPS such as Battlefield Heroes, Battlefield Play4Free or Quake Live.
