What hardware problem: transfer's rotating "translucent window" slows
What hardware problem is it if the rotating and splitting "translucent window", which is at the top right corner of the file transfer window, slows down from its original speed?
It shouldn't slow down even if the file transfer speed is slow, should it?
It is not necessarily any hardware problem, graphics can (and do) slow down as more and more tasks are started, some of these tasks are running "behind the scenes"

Partly correct...it's not the monitor size (as in inches diagonal) what affects the load but the chosen resolution.
That's why games that "stutter/hesitate" on 1280x1024 might still be playable on 1024x768 or 800x600.
The physical size of the monitor plays no role in graphics card performance.
Just like the volume of your sink doesn't influence the throughput of your faucet.

Yes it can to some extent.
This is because the screen resolution gets larger and larger with each step.
Mostly you will notice a frame rate drop with PC games.
If everything else is the same as you go to next size larger monitor the frame rate will drop with screen resolution increase.
If everything is working normally otherwise I wouldn't worry about the spinning download graphic. All that tellsyou really is that it is workingnot the actual speed. It could just as well have a flag waving so you know it is downloading.

I think my graphics card is failing me. My screen went blank went I turned the monitor on again one morning, even though I left the computer running the previous night.
