What is a good virus scanner that doesn't consume too much?

You will find that the new Malwarebytes does at times overlap with anti virus programs with finding infections. It's doing a lot more than it use to but it still doesn't replace a anti virus program.
I believe that UNI me and many others agree on that.

I have only used MSE for years and can tell you it doesn't find PUP's, Adware and the like.
I don't know whether other anti virus do stop and or find them.

I think we can all agree that one should use the security programs that they feel comfortable with.

As the thread title states.
What is a good virus scanner that doesn't consume too much?


We will give suggested and what we prefer and then one has to choose for themselves.

If Malwarebytes ever makes a complete (anti malware, anti virus ect)
I will buy it.

To me Holly basically says we aren't the best and we aren't trying to be the best.

The article you are mentioning was removed several times here because it was hearsay, yet it continues to live on by MSE haters.

I don't care what others use or what they suggest, as long as some sort of protection is being suggested it is a good thing.

Every single one of these threads turns into a bash fest, somebody has to insist that they're recommendation is the best.

If it's the best for you, more power to you, make a recommendation.

The endless "my dog is better than your dog because so and so said it was" get's tiring, if it works for you, that's what you use.

Sigh... getting into a "my dog is better than yours" thread is the last thing I want/wanted to do.

I don't like to argue, especially with people who are on the 'same team'. I will bow out of this conversation, again.
