What is better & faster than dban for complete HDD wipe?

I was reading that dban doesn't clear hidden sectors, or HPA or a few other things and it clearly takes quite some time.

What other type of full disk wipe programs are suggested over dban that are faster and full and completely thorough on their wipe?

There are some sectors on the disk that are not cleared but since they are not accessible by software anyway what is the point? Performance is determined almost entirely by disk characteristics so that won't vary much.
