What is statwix?

I downloaded Google Earth, and while I was able to dodge all of the extra stuff it wanted to add on, I ended up with a statwix icon on my desktop. It's not listed in my programs, and when I try to open it, I get a blank page. I don't want any of Google's "treats." Do I need to just delete the icon & not worry about it?

Check Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and see if there's anything in there relating to it you can delete.

After reading about statwix, I think I'll just uninstall Google Earth. I couldn't get onto the street view, anyway. Thanks for the info, Lay Back Bear.
