Solved What is the benefit of playing game at 1920X1080?

Guys,i have a RES. about 1368X768.a frnd of me is doing fun on me cause he is saying that very soon i will have a powerful gpu but don't have a decent RES.monitor so i can't utilize it well.can u tell me what is the advantage of it?What i find out that it's have a bigger screen.This RES. have become standard of testing games.Thanksssssssss

the benefits are

Also, outside of gaming, text is clearer, pictures will be clearer, Video will be clearer, etc.

What Thorsen said.
Quite simply, games (and everything else) will look sharper and much better.

If you are planning on buying a higher end Graphics card, you really will want a higher res monitor.
Although you didnt say which card you were looking at, lets assume its a GTX670/HD7950?

It will be harder for the GPU to render the images at 1920@1080vs 1368X768. (More Pixels to draw)
Which is why if you want to run your games at Max settings, 1080P, you really want a higher end card such as these.

However, its worth mentioning that at 1368X768, it takes far less power to render at those same settings.
So a higher end card may be a waste of money and power at that resolution if there are no plans to upgrade to high res monitor. You can get by with cheaper and get the same performance. At least at the current resolution. If you do upgrade the moniotor, the lesser card will likely struggle at the higher resolution, where the higher end card will just start to stretch its legs.

More clear looking visuals and look a lot cleaner and nicer. That's about it not much else I can say besides it looking a lot better.

According to me,

Advantages:
# Anti aliasing can be turned off since edges are already smooth enough thus giving a huge boost of fps.
# Super sharp images, awesome details.
# Things look more realistic, coz of less pixelation.

Disadvantages:
# Loss of fps since you are bound to play at high resolution, lowering it will kill image quality in an instant.
# You won't be able to max out settings and enjoy all possible effects since your GPU won't be able to handle it.

So it's better having a lower-than-full-HD display, since you can atleast max out the settings OR get a super powerful gfx card.
