I have Windows 7 x64. I just had to do a total system recovery and am starting from scratch. I used to have IE 11 as my browser, but when I look for the download online I am getting a lot of info about the incompatability of the two.
What is the best IE version for Win 7 (x64) (SP 1)?

The best version is the one that works with the websites that you visit. Try IE11 first and see how it works for you. Also test surfing to the web-based interface for your modem/router. Some network equipment does not like IE10 or IE11.

You should install IE versions via Windows Update.

I happen to use IE11 without Flash installed. If I need to see Flash content, I open Chrome.

It is best to have at least two browsers - in case one gets so messed up that it cannot surf. You can use the second browser to search for the solution.

Absolutely! Not only to search for a solution, but to see how a particular web site behaves with a different set of code.

As UsernameIssues says, use the browser that works well with the pages that you visit. I stayed with version 9 but with the disadvantage that in some pages looks bad content or other soon stop giving support.

Hi,
I personally believe ie10 rules :)
11 bites
I also use Pale Moon but it's tough to get used too I have to admit :(
End of this year ie10 will not see anymore security patches though :(

I doubt I will use it anymore I hate ie11 and it's nasty Edge mode :p
