What is the best sound card?

I have a very good dynamic microphone and want to record my electric guitar thru my amp and record both the guitar and voice at the same time. The guitar will be like placing a mic in front of the amp speaker. My amp has the ability to send the sound directly to my computer. In other words, I want to record my voice as I play the guitar. I run Windows 7 Pro with just the motherboard sound device. What would be the best sound card to buy that won't distort either the guitar or voice? Thanks for any help.

I thought M-Audio is a good choice for audio creation, wonder what will Fireberd tell about them.

I have a recording studio. I use Roland for my recording interface units (Roland Studio-Capture).

There are many USB connected units that I would consider. M-Audio (newer devices only) The Focusrite Scarlet line seems to be popular, along with Roland Capture line (e.g. duo-capture). Presonus is another popular recording interface unit.

Sweetwater Music is a good site/place to go.
Here is the link to the USB audio interface units listed on their site. Some also come with a "lite" version of a recording studio program. e.g. some of the Presonus units come with the Studio One recording program. Some come with a version of Cubase, etc.
